Natural Relief for Pain & Stress Symptoms // Spring Equinox Pop-up Clinic

Do you suffer with chronic stress that is causing discomfort physically or emotionally? Do you have niggling aches and pains or inflammatory pain conditions that aren’t responding as expected to conventional care? Join me on Saturday 18th March and receive a full acupuncture treatment in a unique, multi-bed setting offering effective, sustainable relief for symptoms of stress & pain.

Collaborating again with Unity Yoga Sheffield, you will be welcomed in to a restful, healing space for 40 minutes of relaxation, surrounded by like-minded people and warming tea for these cold, wintery days.

Who is this for?

Stress manifests itself in many ways, often in ways that we don’t even realise. When our bodies reach this level of stress, we release certain hormones that can have catastrophic effects on our bodies when left unmanaged. Examples include:

  • Digestive problems // IBS, colitis, diverticular disease, acid reflux, haitus hernia’s
  • Skin problems // ezcema, acne, dermatitis.
  • Breathing problems // asthma and allergies
  • Heart problems // high blood pressure and angina
  • Pain conditions // osteoarthritis, lower back, neck and shoulder pain, migraines
  • Mental-emotional disorders // sleeplessness, anxiety, panic attacks, emotional outbursts, mental fatigue and low moods/depression.

What do all these things have in common? INFLAMMATION! The stress hormones in our bodies create and irritate our cells leading to chronic inflammatory disorders, such as those mentioned above. This clinic is for anyone therefore that is suffering with symptoms of stress and is seeking natural, sustainable means to manage and eliminate these issues. Whether you are a seasoned acupuncture patient or this is your first time, you are all welcome.

How can you reduce these symptoms of stress, naturally?

There are many ways and means that we can reduce the destructive side-effects of stress naturally, for example, through adopting an alkaline diet (inflammation is acidic to the body), proper hydration, breathing practices and meditative movement therapies such as yoga or cycling. But one of the most effective ways to create long-lasting change to way your mind and body operate is through the practice of Acupuncture.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) are based on the understanding that health is achieved through balance. Optimum health is a state of balance (homeostasis) or equilibrium that the body is constantly working to maintain. These symptoms of stress and inflammation help acupuncturists to define patterns of imbalance and create a personalised treatment plan for each patients unique picture of health.

Acupuncture has been found to be as effective as conventional medicine for many of these symptoms listed above, in particular pain and psycho-emotional disorders. It can also be safely combined with conventional medical treatments helping to reduce their side effects and enhance their beneficial effects.

How does it work? Acupuncture is believed to stimulate the nervous system and cause the release of neurochemical messenger molecules. The resulting biochemical changes influence the body’s homeostatic mechanisms, thus promoting physical and emotional well-being.

Stimulation of certain acupuncture points has been shown to affect areas of the brain that are known to promote relaxation and deactivate the ‘analytical’ brain, which is responsible for insomnia and anxiety. A common side-effect from acupuncture treatment is a feeling of mental restfulness and relaxation during and immediately after treatment!

What to Expect

You will lie down, fully clothed on a yoga bed, made comfortable with blankets, bolsters and blocks. You will be offered a short consultation by myself to ensure the treatment is tailored specifically to your needs. This is then followed by a deeply relaxing and effective acupuncture session, resting for 30-40 minutes. Warming herbal teas will be served after your treatment.

Before the treatment, I will personally send you an initial consultation form for you to fill out. Please send it back to me by email. I will then review it personally and create a unique treatment plan, specific to your health needs which we will follow on the day of treatment.

Part of the concept of this pop-up clinic is that we create a group healing space through a multi-bed treatment setting. You will therefore be relaxing in a room with up to 5-6 other people, each receiving

About Me

I am a fully licensed acupuncturist and natural health enthusiast with a passion for empowering people to live free from physical and emotional restraints. Having spent time in Nepal practicing Traditional Acupuncture in a primary health care setting, treating over 600 patients, I witnessed the remarkable results of integrated health care. It is now my mission to fuse Eastern traditions with Western concepts of health to make treatment efficient and affordable to everyone, in private and group settings.

Offering affordable treatment for internal and orthopedic medicine to adults with chronic complaints. Be it relief from migraines, muscular aches and pains, help with women’s health or altered sleep patterns due to stress or shift work, I aim to help you achieve your personal health goals by creating unique treatment plans.

As a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), I maintain a very high standard of safe practice and is therefore also approved by certain private health insurers. See if you are covered by clicking here or contact your provider directly.

The price of the event is £20 due to this being a one-off, pop-up event. Typically, multi-bed treatments cost £25 at my private practice in Nether Edge and private consultations are priced at £45 for the initial consultation, £40 for follow-ups.

I am passionate about offering an affordable, dynamic approach to acupuncture, making this effective form of health care accessible to everyone!

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There is a big car-park directly opposite the Yoga Studio on Calver Street. It costs £1 for 1 hour or £2 for 2 hours.

What can/can’t I bring to the event?

Please wear light, comfortable clothing that can easily be rolled up if necessary. Ensure that you are well hydrated and have had something to eat that morning.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Please contact me directly by email

What is the refund policy?

There will be no refund offered, however, if you are unable to attend then the £20 for treatment may be used against a full treatment at my private practice in Broomhill (The Osteopathic Practice) or Nether Edge (The Stillpoint Practice). This must be booked within 30 days of the pop-up event.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay?

Absolutely 🙂 Please inform me of this in advance so that I can speak with the new patient in advance, so they get the absolute most out of their treatment.

Do you have Westfield Health?

As a member of the British Acupuncture Council, I therefore registered with Westfield. Don’t forget that you can claim 70% of your acupuncture treatments back through them! Simply ask me for a receipt at the end of the treatment and I will email it over to you.
